“Still Life With Fruit And Faience. After Frans Snyder”
Large still life with Delft fruit and earthenware after Frans Snyder. Frans Snyder is a Flemish painter born in Antwerp in 1579 and died in 1657. He was a pupil of Pieter Bruegel Le Jeune and of Van Balen specialist in still life. In 1602 he became a Guild master, traveled to Italy to perfect his training, then returned to Antwerp and married Margueritte De Vos, Paul De Vos’s sister. He collaborates with Rubens and obtains numerous commissions for Philippe IV of Spain and other Kingdoms.
