Raymond SUBES is a decorator, creator, ironworker, born in Paris in 1891 and died in 1970).
He studied at the Boulle school and the national higher school of decorative arts. He collaborated with the greatest decorators of his time: Ruhlmann, Leleu, Dunand, Mayodon.
He made the stair railings for the liner “Iles-de-France” 1926, the Atlantic and Normandy. He designs the hardware of the Palais de Tokyo, the Banque de France, etc. He creates many pieces of wrought iron furniture: Tables, consoles, stools, sideboards.
Our pair of tables is in gilded metal with a travertine top. They probably date from the 1970s.
