Naked woman in front of the fireplace by Gustave Poetzsch (1870-1950). 
Swiss painter born in Neuchâtel that he left in 1892 to come to Paris where he spent five years in the studio of Luc Olivier Merson and then Gustave Moreau.
Thanks to his wife Marie-Louise Aulagne, a fashion designer, he rubs shoulders with a wealthy Parisian clientele. He epitomizes the Belle Epoque and also excels in painting landscapes.
