“Jules Noel (1810-1881). The Rowing boat.”

Jules Noël was born in 1810 and died in 1881. He spent his childhood in Quimper, he studied in Brest with Chérioux and in Paris with Bertin. From 1840 he exhibited at Paris salons, he painted many seascapes and also beautiful genre scenes. Museums: Quimper, Brest, Chartres and Mulhouse. Our table is signed lower left, it is painted on its original canvas in a beautiful frame in gilded and carved wood from the 19th century.
